Anderson Hardwood Floors
Our view of Anderson Hardwood Floors has always been favorable. Primarily a
manufacturer of engineered hardwoods until recent, the company has been in the limelight for many product innovations over the years.
It first started with engineered flooring. Yes, Anderson was the first. However it did take time to grab interest. Today engineered flooring is installed in areas and under conditions never thought of in the past. A boon for hardwood floors in general, it didn’t stop there.
Likely to be the single most important product innovation in recent times was the advent of aluminum oxide finishes in the late 90‘s. Look at Anderson hardwood floors to be the one that brought this rage. Since, nearly every manufacturer has followed suit with their own form of tough surface finishes.
No rest for this market shaker. Now they are moving into domestic exotic hardwoods, or common hardwoods colored and textured to look like imported exotic flooring. Sustainable at it’s finest. Once again in early 2010 we see another dramatic move towards marketing high gloss finishes. Scoffed by many professionals because of scratching, a new finish technology called luster-lock™ improves scratch resistance by six fold compared to common finishes.
As the internet evolves with more interaction so does improved computer generated room scenes that Anderson offers on their site. One can choose from thirteen different room scenes that allows selection of wall and trim color along with the hardwood of choice. Of particular interest is the ability to show products installed in different directions. Straight laid front to back of rooms, across, and diagonally. Additionally, different widths can also be seen.
Looking for samples and brochures? Order at least four hardwood samples and all the brochures you want directly from the company’s website.
