Award Hardwood Floors


Our view of Award Hardwood Floors is very positive. The company specializes in wide plank smooth surface and hand scraped engineered hardwoods. The smoother Terra Bella hardwood line consists of numerous color and hardwood specie selections compared to other hardwood manufacturers that only wish they had the originality.

Another product line, Masters Touch offers more wide plank hardwoods distressed in the form of antiquing with subtle black staining to the grain and wire brushed appearances.

Adding to the benefit of Award's wide plank arsenal is a lifetime finish warranty of their patented ceramic Wearmax finish technology offered to the original owner. Other lines the company handles are click together floating floors in both domestic and a light splashing of exotic hardwoods.

Finally, their North American Classics solid line which is more of a hidden gem in our opinion, offers attractive longer lengths. Widths go from 2 1/4" standard strip to four inch wide by 3/4 inch thickness.

While the company has faced difficult times with the great recession, one recent product idea introduced in early 2011 caught our attention. The name is Eco Strand; a fibrous hardwood product manufactured from faster growing Aspen trees. Samples can be obtained through the company along with all other product selections they offer.
