Rockhampton Plank is another product
we consider to be at the lower end of the
quality scale. However, a functional
hardwood floor without breaking the bank
may be in your
cards. Or perhaps you don't
plan on living in the home for more than a
few years. Taken care of properly, you can
still have enjoyment out of the
Rockhampton line.
This Bruce red oak
engineered 3/8" by 3 inch plank is
available in a natural finish along with
some of the more standard Bruce stains of
Butterscotch, Spice, (shown) and Gunstock.
One benefit of this lower priced Bruce
engineered is the micro bevel format.
Typically lower priced engineered
hardwoods with square edge board
appearances have a tendency to splinter
given the right conditions with the
overwood characteristics they often have.
Rockhampton can be
installed by the staple, direct gluedown
method or floating over a properly suited
subfloor. As with all Bruce products,
color coordinated trim moldings and other
accessories are available with this
