| Bruce Summit
Hill Plank. Hmmn, where do we begin?
We often wondered how thin some
manufacturers could go with engineered
hardwoods and Bruce has proven 1/4 inch
thickness
can be done. You will not find
this minimal thickness from many other
hardwood flooring companies. This product
is at the lowest end of all products we
review on our site.
Excuse the negativity,
but Hardwoodinstaller.com serves a purpose
for those seeking information. If you're
on an extremely tight budget this floor
will work, but our opinion is look for a
thicker overall product. An extra 25 or 40
cents per square foot will put you in that
range. Bruce offers this floor can be
stapled, but we feel otherwise. Gluing
direct to a proper subfloor is our best
recommendation.
Despite the below
average review, Summit Hill has been a
popular seller for those flipping houses.
This three inch wide red oak engineered is
available in Bruce's distinct color range
of Butterscotch, Natural, Gunstock, and
Saddle. As with all Bruce products, color
coordinated trim moldings and other
accessories are available with this
product line. |
