At Château Old World Flooring, Inc., we take pride in our craftsmanship and stand behind every flooring masterpiece that we produce.  We offer a Limited 25 Year Residential Warranty Program on all Château Old World Flooring, Inc. flooring products installed using recommended installation methods, floor maintenance procedures and maintaining proper humidity conditions within your home.

Under this Residential Warranty Program, Château Old World Flooring, Inc. warrants that its products meet all established Industry quality standards specified for each product category. The Residential Warranty is extended to the original purchaser(s) of the Château Old World Flooring, Inc. pre-finished hardwood floor. This program is limited to residential application only and does not apply to commercial or industrial use.

Pre-Installation Warranty

Château Old World Flooring, Inc. warrants that this product is free of defects and exceeds the industry standards.  You and/or your installer should carefully rack and inspect each plank before installation.  Any uncut planks that appear to have defects should not be installed and can be returned to the original place of purchase to be replaced at no cost.

*Wood is a natural product, containing natural variations in color, tone and grain. We do not warrant against natural variations in color within the floor nor variations between samples, sample pictures and the installed floor.

Exclusions to Warranty

*As a wood floor owner, there are some responsibilities to the floor your must keep as they are not covered by our warranty. 

Improper Installation:  Installation guidelines must be followed (Installation Guidelines)

Improper Maintenance:  Château Old World Flooring, Inc. cannot be held accountable for the use of improper cleansers or cleaning techniques on your wood floor.  Only cleansers recommended by Château Old World Flooring, Inc. fashioned for particular finishes should be used.  (See Care and Maintenance or call 1-866-990-WOOD for information)

Water Damage:  The warranty does not cover damage caused by moisture penetration through the sub floor, flooding, leaking plumbing, overflowing sinks or similar water damage.

Relative Humidity:  The recommended relative humidity inside the home must be between 40-60% throughout the year using air conditioners, humidifiers or dehumidifiers as appropriate.  Château Old World Flooring, Inc. cannot be held responsible for fluctuating humidity conditions which can cause your wood to expand and contract possibly causing severe damage to the boards. 

Abuse, Neglect and Misuse:  This warranty will not cover damage due to the abuse, neglect, or misuse of the hardwood floor caused by , but not limited to, fire, insect infestation, spike heeled shoes, cleats or golf shoes, heavy furniture or equipment, animals (claw and urine marks), pebbles, sand, and other forms of erosion.

*We do not guarantee against shrinking, buckling, warping or cupping of our wide plank flooring.  It is entirely up the judgment of the installer to determine if the sub floor is adequate, proper moisture barriers are used, and the floor has properly acclimated (Installation Guidelines).
