Columbia Out Of
Africa Engineered offers better
quality and value in their five inch wide
plank if one compares to the low end
Village engineered. The actual veneer or
wear layer on
these African hardwoods is
similar to many of Columbia's 1/2 inch
engineered products.
The African engineered brings 12 inch to
48 inch random length planks in African
Walnut, Cherry, Rosewood, Cedar, and
Pearwood. 7 ply construction is made from
a sliced veneer opposed to rotary peeled,
delivering a more realistic grain
appearance.
Installation procedures allow the floating
glue and tap tight methods, stapling to
wood subfloors, and gluing directly on to
a properly prepared and cured concrete
slab.
Ease of Installation-Wood Subfloors; Good Concrete; High
difficulty DIY gluedown. Professional recommended.
Floating floor DIY friendly.
