Columbia Smith
Cherry offers American Cherry hardwood
in it's natural form without the wider
color variation one will find in the
Rustic Cherry, also offered in this line.
Rustic will also
offer more natural
characteristics that are common with lower
graded hardwoods. This does not imply it's
a weaker hardwood. Rustic simply offers a
less consistent over all appearance.
In addition to the natural clear finishes,
a third color is a deep dark stain named
Black Cherry. Lengths in this product line
run the customary 12 inches to 48 with
many Columbia engineered hardwoods. Smith
Cherry is a 1/2 x five inch wide plank,
with board edge design the same as the 3"
Morton Cherry if one were to consider a
random width look.
For installation specs,
this line can be installed by the floating
glue and tap together system over a foam
cushioned underlayment. Other methods call
for stapling with wood subfloors or glue
to concrete.
Ease of Installation-Wood Subfloors; Very Good Concrete; High
difficulty DIY gluedown. Professional recommended.
