Cork Installation Photos


I'm certain it will be just a matter of time before there are more cork flooring manufacturers than you would want, as has happened with the bamboo business. Anyway the more common types would be the floating system for residential use. The construction is shown below and generally comes in dimensions of 36" X 12" The floating system does not require an underlay as does similar systems such as laminate flooring due to the bottom cushioned layer.

Glued types of cork floors require the utmost in floor preparation as shown in the photos below. Any subfloor irregularities that are not corrected will be visible immediately.
