Here's a
gizmo with unlimited potential. We caught up with the
Fein people at the 2008 National Wood Flooring
Association tradeshow. I've heard nothing but raving
reviews from installers that own the tool, but never
owned one for myself, until I had to buy one of these
beauties. It's one of those gadgets I really don't need,
but I'm sure it will prove extremely useful in the tool
shed instead of pulling out the bulkier power tools.
Other are two
types of Fein Multimasters. One runs on 400 watts, more
preferred for somebody that may need to work with it
everyday, or the lower priced 200 watt, effective for
anyone. No tools required when changing blades on the
higher priced tool whereas the other model requires the
use of an allen wrench.
The tool is
ideal for making smaller cuts other tools cannot reach.
Board replacements are an option instead of using a
circular saw with hammer and chisel. An assortment of
blades are offered that can handle all sorts of jobs
included below. Speaking with Bill Moore, a representative of
Fein, he stressed the ease at removing older
grout lines in ceramic tile. With most cutting tools the
blade will often not stay within the grout line. However
with this attachment shown above no damaged tiles are
incurred and the tool is not as intimidating as other
power tools.
