Fine Homebuilding Magazine

The week of April 26, 2004 Fine Homebuilding Magazine paid a visit to the Vineyards gated community in Naples, Florida. Included in the article is a 4-6 page story in the April-May 2005 edition detailing basic procedures for installing glue down engineered floors on concrete. In the meantime we've selected some items that are featured in the magazine. Helping on the job is Ken Peirson who we called in from Pine Beach, New Jersey when our site had an installer referral program.
If you look at other pages within our site, we stress floor preparation heavily. Too many consider it non important. Folks, if you're going to spend 5,000 or $50,000 on a new hardwood floor and feel the floor preparation estimate is too expensive, think again or consider carpeting. Without attention to floor prep, chances are very good you'll be asking yourself the questions below.... eventually.
We Hear it Often. A Few Examples...
• Why do our new hardwood floors creak and make popping sounds?
• We have some areas that feel squishy. What can we do?
• Our new floor feels like a seesaw.
