Harris Wood Floors

Our view of Harris (formerly Harris Tarkett) was very positive at the turn of the century. However an ownership change since has led to product quality hitting the skids in recent years. On a positive note, the company offers some attractive distressed engineered hardwoods in a wider five inch plank. Over the years the most prominent product line became their Longstrip Collection; an engineered hardwood. Unfortunately the reshuffle has axed that product line as well.

We've been looking forward to a revitalized company or one that can bring new product innovation and creativity the company did have a grasp on in the early part of this century. On a bright note, the company still offers it's traditional mainstay; unfinished parquet floor patterns.

Note: In early 2010 the company changed hands again and is now a part of the QEP group who manufacturers flooring tools and accessories. The constant shuffling of ownership continues to present questions on when the quality and stability may return.
