Armstrong Wood Floors

Armstrong is one company that has not sat aroundArmstrong Wood Floors guessing with our trying economic times. 2009 saw a dramatic change in it’s product lines. Garnering the demand for wider plank floors, several six and seven inch wide engineered hardwoods were introduced; all on the distressed side.

Gone are some of the redundant ¾ inch standard oak floors as the company moved into some exotic look-alikes manufactured with species that don’t create concerns with rain forest activities. Sure they still offer some of the more popular

South American exotics, but it’s good night Irene to some of the ones forested in Asian countries that are reaching a limited resource.

Standard entry level engineered and solids still exist for those with less money to spend or those reaching for an affordable hardwood that can help sell that homestead. The company’s popular Pattern Plus, used predominantly in commercial applications has been overhauled into a new line call Premier Performance. No more pastel colors but some impressive grays, browns, and blacks for those so inclined.

Common Parquet flooring remains; the only company we know of that maintains an affordable priced parquet and not the very high end stuff.
