Click lock or glue less laminate floors have
become very popular for the do it yourself market
in recent years
due to their relative ease of installation. One of
the biggest complaints with glued type floors in
the past was the need for strap clamps in keeping
the
planks tight after the glue was applied. With
easy lock, clic, lock, click,
Tap-N-Lock™(Wilsonart) now there is no need.
Simply click, a little persuasion with tapping,
and the planks lock together.
Installed areas can be walked or worked on
immediately without the fear of planks separating
from their glue bond. Furniture can be moved back
in as well. If there is a drawback to the new
click floors, moisture protection would be an
issue. Previously, glued floors provided the
protection with their water resistant glue during
the installation. Click manufacturers claim their
products have moisture resistant seals on the side
and end joints, but not all products are created
equal.
Best Brands? As stated on our glued laminate page
these are the more preferred brands installers
like to deal with. By a very wide margin,
installers have more first hand experience in
rating brands than others and we would be safe to
include consumer reports. Why isn't your brand
preference listed? The ones listed below always
rank high in quality, have fewer manufacturing
related problems, and have low customer complaint
ratios.

Brand Line Names? It's no wonder the selection
process can be a frustrating one. This is what we
found on the ones listed above. If you're seeking
general opinions on these lines we cannot assist,
as we don't have the first hand knowledge like we
do with hardwood floors. We found it would be
useful to add a little something to Hardwood
