Mohawk Hardwood Flooring

Mohawk Hardwood is new to the hardwood flooring end of the business compared to many of the other companies listed within our site. Created mostly through acquisitions of other companies in recent years, the company has gained a strong foothold in the carpet retail store end, but not with seasoned hardwood flooring contractors.

Older more experienced hardwood installers can be stubborn especially when asked to work with a carpet company’s hardwood product. While the Mohawk name itself

is the most recognized one in the flooring business, change takes time. The attitude is not any different with pros, considering many of their product lines at one time were manufactured overseas or through other mills scattered here and there.

For the do it yourself market, Mohawk does have one advantage with the addition of the Uniclic floating installation method. Benefits offered create a faster, less troublesome installation with engineered hardwoods.
